04. Adding symbols outside the alphabet

Since we are using UTF-8 encoding, we can add different symbols outside the Roman alphabet! Find the code of the symbol you want to include at Elizabeth Castro's extra entities type webpage.

Outputting < and >

You may have noticed that within HTML, you can't use the < or the > symbols, since those have special meanings. In order to escape these characters, we have to type out &lt; and &gt;.
